Impressionistic Country Cottages…

Recently I started a second job… the hours stink but the work is very rewarding… I started painting every week night. My goal is to do a small “Painting a Day” to market in different venues such as galleries and ebay. I say the hours stink because I start every night at 10:00 PM as not to cut into my family time. I’ll share these works with you on a regular basis. The pieces are orginal signed oil paintings usually in 5×7″, 6×8″, and 6×12″ formats. I  paint a variety of subjects… still lifes, seascapes, and landscapes (cottages being among my favorite themes)… mostly in an impressionistic style. Here are a couple of recent works.

“Cottage and Flowers”… 5×7″ Oil on Panel, December 2006.

“Cottage with Poppies”… 6×8″ Oil on Panel, December 2006.

You can blame the Monet Exhibit for my new found love of Impressionism…
