Remember When?
Do you remember service stations? When was the last time someone checked your oil, washed your windshield, and pumped your gas? A few still exist but they are rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Many are abandoned like the one captured in this painting, “Remember When?” which has a nostalgic feel of days gone by… when service meant more than convience… a slower time. I miss that…
Trivia question for my local friends:
Do you know where this scene is?

An artist friend, Mike Rooney, challenged me to paint 100 paintings after attending one of his workshops last September. I have been painting since January 2004 and until his workshop I had finished about 40 paintings… since December 6, 2006… I have painted 56 paintings… most I have sold on eBay. The painting above is #50.
Here are some more recent “Impressionist” works… Details (titles, sizes, and descriptions) for them can be found on my “Art for Sale” page…

If you get a chance, please drop by “My eBay” page and see my paintings up for auction… I’m posting these “One a Day” paintings there on an almost daily basis.
A special thanks to all my friends (old and new) who have supported my work through bids and encouragement.
Thanks for dropping by…
Comments always appreciated…

The last time my window was cleaned at a service station was the day Daddy closed his!
That was definitely one of the last GREAT service stations IMHO!
Whoops… forgot to sign my name!
I sure do miss those service stations
And cold glass bottles of Pepsie, Orange crush, rootbeer…
Terri… did you ever put salted peanuts in your Pepsi bottle?… A tradition long died out I think…
Hi Miss Olivia,
Nevin, Hanna & I are quite impressed by your oil painting debut. I do believe your dad has some competition on his hands! Keep up the good work!
